Oops, I fell behind in posting and missed a Raider of the Week. Time to play catch up! First up is Skin’s pick for May 16: Wyndwalk. As Skin said, “Wynd has provided some great tips, a fantasitc attitude, and more feathers than we need in one place. Wynd switched specs, works really hard to improve himself and if I do say so myself (and I do) is a pleasure to raid with.” We concur, Skin. Congrats, Wynd; we are so glad you joined us.
Next up is Skin’s RoTW for May 23. In his post, he stated “Well, as mentioned in raid, it was time to recognize a healer. This healer not only does amazing things, and has overcome great adversity, but she also brings a certain southern flavor to the raidsauce. She doesnt say much in the raid, but if she does key the mic, you NEED to listen.” This week’s RoTW is none other than Nannelles (aka JJ, JenJenny, or Jen). Congratulation, Jen; you are definitely the heart of the guild and we are so privileged to have you in raid.

On Sunday, we headed to Dreamwalker for some uber-healing. Although we had come close with 7 healers, we went in with 6 this time. And guess what? Thanks to the stellar performance of our healing corp, the dragon was back on her feet in about five minutes. Great work guys! To push some more progression, we headed over to Professor Putricide. This is not an easy fight for us, and requires all players to be very aware of the environment (don’t step on flasks!). Seven was our lucky number though and we finally saw him drop. Finishing off The Plagueworks felt really good. Thanks again to Olympae for the screenshots.
Last night after cruising through the first six bosses, we headed back to Putricide. You know, to see if we could classify him as farm status. After several frustrating attempts, including a 1% wipe, the answer was “not yet, but soon.” Next up for progression work will be the Blood Wing.
Last week, Skin started a new recognition program for the 25-man raid team: Skinjin’s Raider of the Week. This award will be given to the person who Skin feels has shined most from Wednesday to Sunday, or has made an impression on him or the raidgroup. Good suggestions that lead to success, personal improvements, sacrifices for the good of the group and generally being a great performer will lead to being selected. The reward is one Primordial Saronite; not too shabby!
The first Raider of the Week was awarded on May 9 to Ovinophobia. Skin stated, “Lets face it: we know him, we love him. Ovinophobia is an amazing mage, and even moreso a great guy. He puts down fish, he does amazing iceblocks and invisibility. He is also a great friend, and even helped Janadora with her mageyness. And he is a troll and I love him that much more.” Congratulation, Ovin!
Festergut had given us some trouble in the past, but on April 18, we went in there and one-shot him. Feeling a little confident, we went to Rotface to get some work on him. Surprise — one-shot Rotface also, although it got more than a bit chaotic at the end. Since then, we have killed these guys two more times each. Yeah, it feels good to have these guys on farm status. Who is going to be added to our kill list next?
